And I'll cast my lot with Adrienne Rich and the world that is still here, like this rock and water and popweed that looks like a landscape rather than a close-up. Your photo would be a mystery to me, Marybeth, if I had not seen for myself that rock can look like water and water like sky. That's the first step to reconstituting the world and and letting it reconstitute us - being close to it.
